Michelle is a recent graduate of New York University's Tisch School of Arts and is currently working in production at HBO Documentary and Family.  As the Film Coordinator at Green Edge, Michelle is working to plan a series of screenings that feature films about creating a sustainable future. contact

Joanna Fernandes
, Supper Club Coordinator (citywide)
Joanna brings her passion for food, community and the green movement together as the citywide Supper Club Coordinator. She has a firm belief in the power of individual consumption choices to affect change and looks forward to facilitating Supper Clubs that are fun, educational and inspire action and discussion. Joanna is an attorney by day and an active volunteer, but looks forward to her free time spent in the kitchen, gardening on the roof in the warmer months, and exploring her Brooklyn neighborhood on long walks with her boyfriend and their dog. contact

Carolyn Gilles, Founder & Director
With much support, Carolyn founded Green Edge Collaborative in October 2006 as a means to ask questions and get answers about issues that affect the economic, social and environmental sustainability of our local and global communities. Carolyn has worked as a private sustainable foods chef (trained at the Natural Gourmet Institute) and in the non-profit field. As Director of Green Edge NYC, Carolyn facilitates the implementation of the Green Edge mission and guides the vision that was set by its founding members; she also coordinates the Eco-Tour Scavenger Hunt and Eco-Eatery Tour events. Carolyn brings a down-to-earth approach to life from her roots of Kentucky and currently lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn. contact

Erika Rumbley, Supper Club Coordinator (neighborhoods)
Erika recently moved to Brooklyn from Poughkeepsie, NY where she had the joy of community organizing for a beautiful youth-run garden. She rides her bike everywhere she needs to go, grows food and is always looking for DIY solutions for urban sustainability. As the Neighborhood Supper Club Coordinator, Erika is excited to organize potlucks that allow neighbors to share their skills, challenges and local food knowledge with one another. contact

Jennah Synnestvedt, Design Coordinator & Co-Founder
Jennah is a freelance graphic designer and art director responsible for most things visual at Green Edge. She is dedicated to keeping the world beautiful in all shapes and forms. contact
