The New School presents
Bill McKibben on Climate Change
Thursday, October 22, 6:00-8:00 pm
Admission is free.
Join the Tishman Environment and Design Center for a presentation by renowned environmentalist Bill McKibben, founder of climate change nonprofit 350.org. McKibben, a longtime environmental advocate and author of numerous books on issues of environment and nature, will talk about the consequences of climate warming and the immediate need to reduce carbon emissions. A Q&A moderated by Parsons Dean Joel Towers will follow.
This event is a prelude to 350.org's International Day of Climate Action on Saturday, October 24, a series of rallies and awareness-raising creative actions across the globe which will serve as a visual petition for change to be presented in Copenhagen this December, when the world's nations meet to agree on a new climate treaty.
