Clean Energy Forum
ReNew School and the nonprofit Focus The Nation and Net Impact.
The world is ready to strike a global climate deal this December in Copenhagen at the COP15 UN climate treaty negotiations. However, all eyes are on the U.S. as federal legislation is scheduled to hit the Senate floor this fall. The international community will not sign a deal unless the U.S. comes to Copenhagen having achieved climate leadership at home in the House and Senate. Join Net Impact and ReNew School for a Clean Energy Forum to help galvanize our voices in direct dialogue with Senators and top climate and energy staffers. It is time to raise the profile and voice of local American communities in the international climate debate.
Senators Gillibrand and Schumer (subject to last minute conflicts) Ted Glick-Policy Director of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network, Virginia Terry (Fmr Director of SustainAbility and Prof at TNS), John Clinton (NS Professor and NINSU's faculty adviser), and a representative from CERES come to facilitate a town hall style discussion.
