DESCRIPTION:Almost two years have passed since MillionTreesNYC was lau
 nched by Mayor Bloomberg and Bette Midler, and we are well on our way 
 to planting one million trees by 2017. In 2009 alone, Parks, NYRP, and
  many private partners have planted nearly 77,000 trees. Over 25,000 o
 f these trees were planted by volunteers like you in forest restoratio
 n sites across the city. But we still need your help!\n\nOn October 24
 , in coordination with Partnerships for Parks’ It’s My Park Day, M
 illionTreesNYC welcomes volunteers to help plant 20,000 trees in one o
 f 15 locations across the five boroughs. We hope that you will join us
