An African preacher-in-training, Abebe, arrives in a drought-stricken American town intending to further his studies in religion and water conservation. Hosted by a mother and daughter haunted by tragedy, he takes an interest in a young orphan starved for guidance. In the end, Abebe must prepare to battle the personal and political forces threatening the ecology of his new home.
With cast members Keith Eric Chappelle (Cyrano de Bergerac), William Jackson Harper (Ruined), Joshua King, Kianné Muschett (The Brother/Sister Plays) and Myra Lucretia Taylor (Nine).
