NYC Cool Roofs: Come learn about cool roofs while you coat with us.

Hey, wouldn't it be great to cool down NYC? Wouldn't it be great to send the suns rays right back through the greenhouse gases instead letting them get absorbed and contribute to global warming and the urban heat island effect?

Well, the chance is here and the NYC Cool Roofs project is making it happen!

We need your help though. Please visit http://volunteer.nycservice.org/org/opp/10337992315.html to find out about this volunteer opportunity. This pilot project is based in Long Island City, with hopes to extending to many more neighborhoods in the Spring. This is one simple process that could have a great impact!

Throw on your dungarees, sunscreen, long sleeves and sunglasses and Please JOIN US ON THE ROOF!! Weekday volunteers are especially needed this week and next. The end date has been extended to OCT 15th.
