Okay folks, it's been a REALLY long time, but we are getting the potlucks going again and hope to see you there!
On Sunday, May 2nd, Sustainable Flatbush and the Brooklyn Food Coalition
Flatbush Neighborhood Group are hosting a potluck brunch from noon
until 3pm!
This will be a great opportunity to share food and recipes, get to know
each other, and discuss neighborhood food issues in a casual setting.
Please bring your friends and neighbors!
We'll have some great workshops on preparing nutritious foods:
- Cooking demonstration with Just Food Community Chef Nicole J. Caruth
- Learn how to grow sprouts on your windowsill
- Make your own fermented foods at home
At recent BFC Flatbush meetings we proposed to hold potlucks on a
regular basis at rotating locations. Space for our first gathering is
being provided by RiverFish Collective, as part of their Community Skill
and Food Share Day.
The whole day's schedule - which includes meditation, holistic healing,
music, and more - is available
here.
