November Potluck!
Hi everyone. Long time no see!
I wanted to let you know that a potluck for November is in the works. The location will be Brooklyn College's Newman Catholic Center, which is located at Glenwood Road and East 24th Street. It's a lovely old house with a big kitchen, and space for both eating and possible workshops. I am inquiring about the possibility of bringing children, which will hopefully be a thumbs up. Plus, we can publish the address without violating anyone's privacy, which will make it easier for people to drop in and/or find the location at the last minute. All good stuff!
The exact date is TBA, but it will be a Sunday afternoon before Thanksgiving. I propose that we do an optional contribution for donation to a local soup kitchen or food pantry.
Details to come, and I look forward to seeing everyone again! Invite your friends!

UPDATE: The Newman Catholic Center has unfortunately gotten booked up with student events and won't be able to accommodate us until next year. :(
In the meantime, I'm looking into another option on the Brooklyn College campus: the Brooklyn College Art Lab in Roosevelt Hall. Some of you have been there for Sustainable Flatbush and Brooklyn Food Conference events, it's a fun and visually stimulating atmosphere! Our timeslot would need to change to Saturday evening, starting at 5 or 5:30.
What do you folks think about this location/time? Maybe the Saturday after Thanksgiving? (We could do a food drive for December holidays.) I will try to firm up details next week. -
